On the computer across the street at my business, we've recently installed DSL. There have been a few problems with that, but I think it's all worked out. The problem I'm having though, is some site called www.incredifind.com (DON'T CLICK ON THE LINK!) seems to have taken over my computer. I don't know how but when I hit Internet Explorer, my homepage used to be Yahoo. I have Google on the desktop, and a few other Tire Websites on the desktop, but whenever I hit any of them it swithces to www. incredifind.com, and says this page cannot be displayed. I've tried to delete all cookies and all temp files. I've gotten a cd from my ISP that had CWShredder, and Ad-Aware programs on it, and it's still there. I can try to type anything in the toolbar, and it goes right back to that incredifind thing. Anyone know what to try next???

Sounds like your browser has just been hijacked. It's probably spyware, and not necessarily a virus.

Install Spybot Search & Destroy, you can get it at the link below. If Ad-Aware didn't pick it up, maybe Spybot will.

I typed Incredifind into my search engine, and it appears to be a known spyware program. Sounds quite common.

Apparently Spybot DOES remove Incredifind. Make sure you 'update' Spybot to the latest definitions before you search for the spyware though, just to make sure its as current as possible.

Let us know how you get on.

Actually, I just got rid of it. Thanks to Stacey, I hadn't thought of it, but I typed in Incredifind on yahoo, and read through a few things, and found a site on how to get rid of it.
The site said that you can get it from downloading screensavers, and other things.
What happened was, I downloaded a screensaver for that computer, and this incredifind thing attached itself. I uninstalled that, and now it works just fine. Thanks guys.

If it was my home computer, that might be true, because nobody likes big boobs more than this guy, but this was our work computer across the street. I don't even use that computer. I was over there, and my dad asked me if I could get rid of the stupid screensaver that our other location had put on the computer, before we closed it. So, since all of us are big fans of the UW Huskies, I downloaded a screensaver of the 2001 Rose Bowl team, and it was in with that evidently. Because after reading about it on a website, I went in and uninstalled that screensaver, and everything immediately went back to normal.
